John F. Donahue, 85, at lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA, died on December 24, 2013 at the Mary Immaculate Health Care Center in Lawrence.
Mr. Donahue was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on February 4, 1928 to Joseph & Katherine (McMahon) Donahue. He was educated in the Lawrence school system. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for over 15 years as a Grounds Keeper for the Parks Department in Lawrence, MA. He loved sports especially playing soft ball and baseball. He was an avid sports fan and love to follow the Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
He leaves his two sisters-in-law: Florence Donahue of Andover & Loraine Donahue of North Andover, also one niece: Lisa Cunnane of North Andover and two nephews: Jeff Donahue of New Hampshire and Brian Donahue of Lawrence. Predeased by his brothers : Joseph & Thomas Donahue.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, December 31, 2012 at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
