Obituary

Worcester - Albert Richard "Dick" Howe passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the age of 90. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Catherine (Howe) Howe; daughter, Charlotte (Howe) Bates and her husband, Bruce; son, Keith Howe; and son, Mark Howe and his wife, Nancy; sisters Evelyn Wills and Phyllis Hammond; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Bernice "Rossie" Swett, Ralph Sweet, and Stanley Swett.

Dick was born in Worcester, son of the late Avis Evelyn Howe. He attended Worcester South High School. Dick was a 45-year employee of Norton Company where he retired as a process engineer in 1986. Dick was a WWII Army combat veteran in the European theatre. He was a longtime member of the Greendale People's Church in Worcester and was proud to be a 32nd degree Mason, a Brother of Guiding Light Lodge A.F. & A. M.

Visitation will be held at the Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, Sunday, December 29, from 2-4 pm; a Masonic Service will be held at 3:45 pm. Burial will be in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greendale People's Church, 25 Francis St., Worcester MA 01606.
