Obituary

Winifred F. (Blaney) Albano, 82, of Franklin died December 26, in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Albano who died in 2011.
Born in Arlington, July 30, 1931, the daughter of the late Winslow and Esther (Bellows) Blaney, Mrs. Albano was raised in Arlington and had been a resident of Franklin since 1960.
Mrs. Albano had been a telephone operator, supervisor and finally an instructor for the Verizon Company.
She enjoyed camping and was a member of the National Camping Travelers Association She was also a member of the Pioneers of America and enjoyed doing crafts.
She is survived by her children, Mark Albano and his wife Sue of Dewey, Arizona, Wayne Albano of Woonsocket and Cheryl Simoneau and her husband Dick of Northborough.
She is also survived by her brother Robert Blaney and his wife Ann of Chelmsford and her sister-in-law Claire Blaney of Billerica.
She was the sister of the later Richard Blaney.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ian and Teara Albano and was the grandmother of the late Dante Albano.
She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday December 30 at 1:45 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 1-4 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.
In lieu of flowers expressions sympathy may be made in her memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
