WORCESTER: Audrey A. Roberts, 81, a retired school teacher and resident of 11 Lake Ave., formerly of Ashton St., died Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2013, at the Icabod Washburn Hospice Residence.
She leaves two sisters, Pauline T. Monroe of Arizona, Mary Louise Pinney of California; two brothers, Jon A. Roberts and Peter J. Roberts, both of California; and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Harvey E. Roberts and Gerald A. Roberts, both predeceased her.
She was born in New York City, daughter of the late Harvey J. and Emma B. (Rogers) Roberts. She was raised in West Springfield and graduated from Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee. She moved to Worcester over 45 years ago.
Audrey worked for 42 years as an elementary school teacher with the Diocese of Worcester and the Diocese of Springfield. She was an Associate of the Sisters of the Assumption for many years.
A CALLING HOUR will be held from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. on SATURDAY, DEC. 28 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 10 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
