Obituary

WORCESTER__Tessie (Christian) Tremblay, 86, of 88 Plantation St., died Thursday Oct. 7 in St. Francis Home, 101 Plantation St. Her husband of 58 years, Edwin L. Tremblay died in 1999.

She leaves a daughter, Jean A. Gannon and her husband John of Holden; two grandsons, John Gannon and Timothy Gannon; and two great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Joseph. She was born and raised in Douglas, daughter of John and Delima (Abram) Christian and had lived here since 1941.

Mrs. Tremblay was a member and volunteer of St. Joseph’s Church and was a longtime member of its Women’s Guild as well as the Women’s Guild of St. Joseph’s School. She also volunteered at Anna Maria College and was a member of its Women’s Guild. She was a graduate of Douglas High School.

The funeral will be held on Saturday Oct. 9 with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Douglas. There are no calling hours.
