Obituary

John P. Ryan, Jr. of Natick passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Stanley Tippett Home in Needham. He was ninety-two years old.

Born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was a 1939 graduate of Cambridge Latin High School. On August 19, 1942 he enlisted in the United States Army and served proudly as a corporal during World War II.

Mr. Ryan attended Bentley College for two years and Northeastern University for two years. He worked as an accountant with his brother at the Allan A. Ryan Accountants of Rockland for fifty-six years, retiring at the age of eighty-two.

Mr. Ryan was a resident of Natick, a member of Sacred Heart Church of South Natick and a long-standing member of St. Patrick Church, also of Natick.

He adored his family, cooking homemade dinners, summering in Scituate and was a fifty-eight year season ticket holder of the Boston College Eagles Football and Hockey programs.

John was the beloved husband of the late Doris L. (Coyle) Ryan with whom he shared sixty-one years of marriage. He was the loving father of Janice M. Macdonald of Concord, NH, Richard N. Ryan & his wife Cynthia of Aztec, NM, Susan R. Goodspeed of Brewster, MA, Nancy C. Ryan Sparks & her husband Nigel of Flagstaff, AZ, Kevin P. Ryan & his wife Pamela of Medway, Ruthanne Ryan of Natick & Jacqueline P. Ryan of Brooklyn, CT.

Grandpa of Ryan, Jessica, Allyne Anne, Kathryn & her husband Jesse, Kristine & her husband Jason, Caitlin, Hiller, Meagan, Noah, Daniel & his wife Kendra, Rebecca & her husband Robert, Sarah, Erin, Alana, Carly & William.

Great Grandpa of Jada, Raeleanna, Rajah, Jackson, Mary, Natalie, Ryan & Josephine. Brother of Anna Mae Arnold of Falmouth, Rose Marie Ryan SND retired, of Worcester & the late Allan Ryan. Brother-in-law of Anne Ryan of Scituate & Francis & Nancy Coyle of Marstons Mills. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Relatives & friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. at Natick Common on Tuesday, December 31st at 9AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10AM.

Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 30th from 4:00-7:00PM.
