Jerry Nathaniel Winters, age 69, of Broxton, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Winters was born on June 7, 1944, in Kingman, AZ to the late John Frank Winters and Myrtle Katherine Summers.
Survivors include: his wife, Maryland “Cookie” Winters of Broxton, GA, two sons, Damon (Jean) Winters of Douglas, GA and Daryle (Ines) Winters of Broxton, GA, half sister, Nadine Bryan of Joplin, MO, seven grandchildren, Samantha Mercer, Allie Dixon, Marie Miller, Jacob Winters, Amelia Winters, Sophia Winters, and Zach Winters, two great grandchildren, Zayne Mercer and Gage Mercer, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Broxton Baptist Church with Rev. Freddy Gardner and Rev. Robert Wigley officiating. Eulogy given by Jeff Harden. Interment will follow at Broxton City Cemetery.
