He was born in Lomba do Botao Povacao, St.Michael, Azores a son of the late Manuel and Alexandrina (Ventura) Pereira Mr. Pereira came to this area in 1975 from Lomba do Botao, Povocao, St. Michael, Azores
The funeral will be Saturday from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with a Furnea Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 AM . Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, Ma. Visiting hours are Friday October 8, 2004 from 6 to 9:00 PM
