Obituary

Marshall Perry Kollock, 77, of Warner Robins, Georgia, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2013, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in the Broxton City Cemetery in Broxton. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 12 Noon to 2 PM, at the funeral home before the service.

Mr. Kollock was born August 18, 1936, in Osierfield, Georgia, to the late Walter and Rachel Walsh Kollock. He was a 1954 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Formerly a resident of North Carolina, he lived in the community for 25 years. He served his country honorably for 28 years, before retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. Mr. Kollock also retired from Civil Service, being employed with Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he was a jet engine technician. He enjoyed singing and loved his children dearly. One of his character attributes was that of being even tempered. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Ernestine L. Kollock of Warner Robins; son and daughter-in-law: Michael Perry Kollock & Tammy of Kinston, North Carolina; daughters and sons-in-law: Sycondia Jean Kollock of Warner Robins, Sybrennia James & Tony of Warner Robins and Leona Elizabeth “Lisa” Davidson & Allen of Bonaire; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two sisters: Laurine & Jack Gibbs of Fitzgerald and Jacquelyn & Bobby Roberts of Rochelle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Charlie Lawrence and Frances Young and two grandchildren: Brandon Helmick and Ashley Davidson.
