Henry J. Joly Sr. of St. Barnabe St. died Saturday at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Albert and Yvette (Henry) Joly Sr. Henry was a machinist for the Draper Corporation for twenty years, and then for Tex Industries, retiring after twelve years. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Henry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going to Twin River Casino.
He is survived by a son, Henry J. Joly Jr. of Providence, a daughter, Alice Maynard of Burrillville, a step- daughter, France Rodrigues of SC, seven brothers, Albert Joly of Cumberland, Rene and Andy Joly of FL, Robert, Raymond, and Joseph, all of Woonsocket, and Gerry Joly of Providence, a sister Mary Ann Corriveau of Blackstone, five grandchildren, Adam and Danielle Joly, Matthew Maynard, and Amy and Tristin Rodriguez, and eight great-grandchildren. He was also a brother of the late Pauline Brillon.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Thursday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center, 4 St. Joseph St., Woonsocket, RI 02895 in his memory would be appreciated.
