Obituary

ALBANI, Orlando J. “Landy” of Readville, MA,  and Tequesta, FL, December 21.  Beloved husband of Mary E. (Rye) Albani. Devoted father of Sandra and her husband David Sullivan of Dedham, Orlando Albani Jr. and his wife Linda of  Hemet, CA, and Jack Albani of Dorchester. Loving grandfather of Susan Kelley, David and Michael Sullivan, Matthew and Ashley Albani, Jessica Averette and John Albani. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Landy was the son of the late Marzilio and Flaminia (Petrillo) Albani and predeceased by his 8 siblings,  Peter and Frank Albani, Amelia Brody, Jean Kitko, Mary Tuccillo, Margaret Lanni, Madeline Austin and Robert Albani.  Also predeceased by his wives Susan (Micheletti) Albani and Marion (Reilly) Albani.

Landy attended Boston Latin School and graduated from Northeastern University. An electrical engineer, he was General Manager of Allis Chalmers, Hyde Park and a founding partner of Phoenix Electric Corp., Canton. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Naval Reserve for more than 30 Years achieving the rank of Senior Chief. An avid golfer, he was a member of Norfolk Country Club, Little Club Golf Club and the Sunset Bocce Club.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Saturday, Dec. 28 at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne Church, Readville at 11 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
