Dorothy A. (Pulsifer) Hewey, 83, of North Bellingham died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge. She was the beloved wife of Eldon W. Hewey, Jr.
Born in Malden on March 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (DeChamps) Pulsifer.
Mrs. Hewey was a resident of North Bellingham since 1966 and formerly resided in Waltham.
She was a graduate Malden Girls Catholic High School.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Hewey worked at Corning Diagnostics in Medfield for many years.
She was a communicant of St. Brendan’s Church in Bellingham and enjoyed ballroom dancing and gardening.
Mrs. Hewey cherished her family and time spent with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Marie A. Hewey of Bellingham, Paul M. Hewey of Cumberland, RI, William J. Hewey of Uxbridge and Linda G. Horne of Uxbridge, ten grandchildren, her sister Helen Kellegher of Irvine, CA, and her loving caregiver, Cheryl Escudero at the Lydia Taft House.
She was the sister of the late Ruth Kell and Gordon and William Pulsifer, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Friday, December 27 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Brendan Church, 382 Hartford Ave. in Bellingham at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m.
