TEDESCHI Theodore “Ted” of Dover, MA and Wellington, FL, died peacefully at his home on December 18, 2013 at the age of 64.
Ted was the beloved husband of Attorney Linda M. Grasso with whom he shared more than 25 years. He was a loving and devoted father to Amy Tedeschi Hauser and her husband Bob of Andover, Charles Tedeschi and his wife Anneliese also of Andover, and Joseph Tedeschi of Tilton, NH. He was also a devoted and loving stepfather to Tonja Morrison and her husband Paul of Dover, and Ashleigh Stewart and her husband Brad also of Dover. Ted cherished his eight grandchildren and was a fun-loving Papa to Avery and Hayden Stewart, Isobel and Abby Morrison, Grace and Robert Hauser, and Chase and Emmy Tedeschi. He will be missed by his sister Marie Patrick of Wakefield, brother Joseph Tedeschi of Melrose, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gaetano and Helen (Cianciarulo) Tedeschi, brother Allan Tedeschi, and sister Catherine DeVito.
Raised in East Boston, Ted graduated from Boston Latin School, class of 1966 where he obtained the award of class poet. He received his B.A. from The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 1970. He was a Charles Owen Hughes Scholar at Columbia Law School, class of 1973.
In his nearly 40 year career as a corporate and business attorney, he was a partner in several prominent Boston law firms, and recently served as a general partner and legal counsel to a private equity firm. He was currently of counsel with Cetrulo LLP at the time of his death.
Ted was truly a man for all seasons. He was a poet, an avid reader, history-buff, and fan of all things Italian. Ted enjoyed traveling to Italy with his wife and family and was Secretary of the Dante Alighieri Society in Cambridge.
