Phyllis Ann Hester, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Green Meadows Health Care. She was the former Phyllis Pope and was born in Lancaster,KY. Phyllis was a retired inspector for Philip Morris Tobacco Co. and a Presbyterian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Hester,Jr.; parents, Charles and Lillian Pope and a son, Charles Henry Hester,III. Phyllis is survived by her children, Pam Cline (Ronnie), Paula Roberson (Mark), Trish Ford (Jim), Kenneth J. Hester (Cindy); sisters, Ruth Humphrey and Joy Nutter; nephews, Ronald Wayne Pope and Jennings (Bean) Pope. Mrs. Hester’s funeral services will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 noon at The Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday after 10:00 a.m.
