Catherine M. (Duffy) McCusker, age 91, of Brockton formerly of Brighton died Wednesday December 18, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife for 54 years of the late William D. McCusker. Born in Boston and raised in Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Hannah M. (Meade) Duffy. She was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School and had worked for 25 years at Sears Catalog Store, retiring in 1988. Catherine was extremely family oriented, had a great sense of humor, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed bingo and reading, but what gave her the most enjoyment in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and her cats.
She is survived by her children William J. and his wife Marie of Wareham; Daniel L. and his husband Rick M. Lippiner of Los Angeles CA; Dennis E. and his wife Debrah of Kodiak, AL; Paul F. and his wife Connie of Dallas, TX; Kathleen M. McCusker and Michael A. McCusker both of Brockton; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Duffy.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday from 2-4pm followed by a funeral service at 4pm. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday at 10:45am.
