Mary T. Keegan, 76, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2013 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston, MA. She was born December 20, 1937 in Lawrence, MA and was daughter of the late Bernard Keegan and Theresa Murphy Keegan.
Mary was educated in St. Patrick’s Grammar School and graduated St. Patrick’s High School in 1956. She attended and graduated from Chandler School, Boston, MA. She was employed by the US Government, and was assigned to the American Embassy in Germany, Italy, Vietnam, Denmark, Africa, Washington, DC and Boston, MA where she retired.
Mary is survived by her sister Ann Keegan of Lawrence, her brother Bernard C. Keegan and his wife Lucille of Methuen. Her niece Cheryl A. Holzman (deceased), her nephews Patrick, Michael, his wife Martha, Stephen, his wife Priscilla, and James his wife Kara. Grandnieces Katherine and Emily Holzman, Grandnephews Devin, Dominic and James Keegan.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 9:00AM at St. Patrick Church in Lawrence. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
