Jerry V. Kallus, age 92 of La Grange passed away on December 17, 2013.
Jerry was born on January 26, 1921 in La Grange to Richard J. Kallus and Frances Janda. He married Annie Humplik on January 24, 1949 in Corpus Christi. He was a retired aircraft mechanic and served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange, Knights of Columbus #2574, 4th degree Knights of Columbus #1095, Holy Name Society, KJT Society #46, the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife; Annie; sister, Sister Helen Kallus of Lisle, IL.; sister-in-law, Janie Kallus of Navasota; numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great nephews and great-great nieces also survive.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday December 19, 2013, from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange and from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM at the church.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday December 20, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange.
Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Hostyn.
