Joyce E. (Smith) Vincent, 71, of Dartmouth, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at home. She was the wife of Antone L. Vincent.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Lauchlan A. and Joanna C. (Gonet) Smith, she was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth and a 1960 graduate of Dartmouth High School. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Vincent owned and operated “The Pretty You” beauty salon in New Bedford and was also an instructor and director at the LaBaron Hairdressing Academy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors along with her husband include her 2 sons: Troy D. Vincent, his wife Frances and their 3 children, Amber, Alayna and Austin of Dartmouth; and Tony S. Vincent, his wife Pranee and their expected child, Thailar of Dartmouth; her brother: Lauchlan A. Smith, Jr. of Dartmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Allens Neck Friends Meeting House in Dartmouth at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be in the Vincent Family Cemetery, Dartmouth.
