Rose Marie Heuer returned to the Lord on the morning of December 17, 2013 at the age of 80. She was a long-time Ventura County resident and devout parishioner of Holy Cross Church in Moorpark. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Rose will be remembered by all those who knew and loved her for her keen wit, sense of humor, zest for life and loving heart. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she attended Washington High School and later raised her family of five children in Thousand Oaks. She precedes to the Lord her daughters, Susan, Ellen and Lori, her sons, Mark and Stephen, her son-in-law, Kevin, her sisters, Lynette and Carol, her brothers-in-law Jack and Sam, her grandchildren, Shawna, Heather, Julie, Jennifer, Jordan, Sequoia, Arianna and Simon, her great-grandson, Christian and great grand-daughters Kanna and Kya. She is reunited in heaven with her mother and father, Anthony and Jenny and sisters, Frankie and Anne Marie. She will also be missed by her longtime friends whom she worked with at State Farm Insurance and frequently met for dinner parties and her walking partners whom she exercised with weekly at the Thousand Oaks Mall. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by loved ones who while sad to see her go, celebrate the beautiful life she lived and rejoice in the promise of joining her one day in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Her family will be holding a service at Holy Cross Church in Moorpark on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society in Rose’s name.
Burial will be in Pierce Brother's Valley Oaks Memorial Park, Westlake Village. Arrangements are under the direction of Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ventura.
