Obituary

John W. Glinski, age 87, of Pembroke, formerly of Chelsea, died on Friday, December 13, 2013, at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth.

Born on September 12, 1926 in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Adolph & Sofie (Ohaunaska) Glinski. He was a proud veteran in the U.S. Army during World War II, as well as a man of many talents including Polish music, photography, lapidary, tool and die maker and was an industrial engineer with Raytheon in the space program. He was truly a genuine man.

John was the beloved husband of the late Veronica (Sumigalski) Glinski; devoted and loving father of Jane K. Benson of Pembroke & her late husband Michael J. Benson and the late John W. Glinski, Jr. and special uncle of Judith Harris of Michigan.

A visitation period will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 9:00-10:00 AM, followed by his funeral Mass at Saint Thecla's Church, 145 Washington Street, (Route 53), Pembroke, on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at 10:30 AM.

Interment services will be private.
