Obituary

Albert H. Dionne, 69, of Hooksett, died at his residence December 14, 2013 after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Manchester May 28, 1944 the son of Albert J. and Laurette (Villemure) Dionne. He lived most of his life in Manchester and had been a resident of Hooksett the past 18 years.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Al worked as a firefighter for the City of Manchester for several years. He later was an Assistant Chief with the East Derry Fire Department and then served as Chief of the Allenstown Fire Department. He also was the Emergency Management Director for the Town of Hooksett for several years.

He leaves his wife of 20 years, Kimberly A. (Richardson) Dionne of Hooksett; two children, David Dionne of Alfred, ME and Debra Dunnells and husband Clif of Shapleigh, ME; two step children, Laura Norman of Whitefield, NH and John Sartorelli and wife Anne of Manchester; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; two sisters, Claire Dube and husband Everett of Portsmouth and Elaine Miles of Coarsegold, CA; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Maurice Dionne.

A prayer service was held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Burial will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
