Augusta, GA – Mrs. Helen “Bena” Knight Weathers, 68, beloved wife of Johnny Weathers, entered into rest on Friday, December 13, 2013.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 16, 2013 in Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. J. Andrew Menger officiating.
Bena graduated from the Academy of Richmond County where she was the Honorary Cadet Colonel for the year of 1962-63. She loved being on “Tybee” time with her family and friends. Bena’s family was always her utmost importance and brought much happiness to her life. Her genuine smile and warm spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her. Bena was a loving mother, daughter, aunt, great aunt, sister, grandmother, and wife.
In addition to her husband, Bena is survived by her sons, Charles Talbert Bunn, Thomas L. Clary, IV, and E. Nash Garrett (Monica); her daughter, Kathryn Bunn Elliott; her mother, Helen Knight Griffin; her grandchildren, Jay and Drew Elliott, McCamy Garrard, Ashley and Nash Garrett, and Wren, Nicklaus, and Cale Clary; and her niece, Helen Clay Garrard. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Knight Walker.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, December 15, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
