Betty Gilpin
Martinez, Ga - Entered into rest Wednesday, December 11, 2013, Mrs. Betty Gilpin. She was a life-long resident of Nashville, Tennessee until her recent relocation to the Augusta area. She was a gifted artist and calligrapher and was the founding president of the Nashville Calligraphers’ Guild. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, and her son, Mark. She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Gilpin and husband, Ron; her son, Larry Gilpin and wife, Corley; her sister, Ann Barber; and granddaughters Emily Gilpin and Lauren Gilpin.
A memorial service will be held at the chapel of Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm, with Dr. Larry Gilpin and Rev. Todd Teller officiating. The family will visit with guests at the church following the service. A graveside service for family members will follow at Springhill Cemetery on Saturday.
