Obituary

Erin Kate Rodriques,

Dateline: Spencer, MA

Erin Rodriques, 23, passed on too early to her next phase of life, Monday, December 9, from injuries sustained in a car accident, due to slippery weather conditions, in Spencer, MA.
Erin was the precious daughter of Abel and Kathleen (Scanlon) Rodriques of Norton. Erin grew up in Norton, a member for many years of St. Mary's parish in Norton.
Erin started kindergarten with Mrs. Rosemary Kline and then was home schooled through high school, graduating in 2008, maintaining many friendships with other home schooled students and Lord of the Rings website buddies.
She took piano lessons for many years with Mrs. Rue Siegel in Norton. Erin developed her faith and bloomed in life as a teen at St. Mary's in Foxboro. She also had a great interest and was a participant in the Connecticut Renaissance Faire. This was followed by four wonderful years at Assumption College, graduating in 2012, with a double major of Cultural Anthropology and German. Her senior year, she won an award for her Research poster in the Social Sciences section. Erin was a photographer for Le Provocateur, the Assumption student newspaper.
She had acted in the Merely Players Theater Group at school, where she fell in love with her fellow actor, Josh Moore.
Erin continued to have many friends among faculty, staff, and students there. Following graduation, Erin worked as administrative secretary in the Assumption Graduate Admissions office for a year and just recently began working at The Bridge of Central Massachusetts in Worcester as a Treatment Coordinator, beginning her dreams of helping other people.
She was also enrolled in graduate school at Assumption, in the Rehabilitation Counseling Program. In her short life, she had traveled to Medjugorje, World Youth Day in Germany, an Assumption pilgrimage to France and Rome, and an Eastern European Study trip.
Recently, probably due to her involvement with the Connecticut Renaissance Faire, she decided to learn and become part of the Eve's Tribal Belly Dancing group, where she danced elegantly with her beautiful handmade costumes.
Erin lived her life to the fullest, attracting many long life friends along the way from every walk of life. She made everyone feel special and loved.
