Evelyn (Essex) George, 88, passed away December 7, 2013.
She was the former owner of George’s Floor Service and a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, also she was past President of Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary 1181 in Valley Station, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ernest M. George. She is survived by her children, Ellen Marie Friedrich (Robert) and Joy Sharon Lewis; grandchildren, Tonya Shelton (Claude), Teresa Buckmaster (Eddie), Sandy Goodman (Billy), and Martin Friedrich (Dawn); 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 11 A.M. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West) Mausoleum. Visitation will be Wednesday 12 Noon until 8 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
