Jimmy Harper, age 60, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Harper was born on January 13, 1953, in Douglas, GA to the late James Edward Harper and Akiko Haruki Harper.
Survivors include: his wife Melissa Jo Harper of Douglas, GA, son, Jamie Harper of Douglas, GA, three step daughters, Victoria Maxam, Alison Maxam both of Douglas, GA, and Olivia Maxam of Springfield, MO, four grandchildren, Hayden Harper of Douglas, GA, Braxton Cobb of Missouri, Landon Cobb of Missouri, and Je`an Luc Maxam of Douglas, GA, brother, Jack (Trish) Harper of Douglas, GA, two sisters, Judy (David) Hobby of Fitzgerald, GA and JoAnn (Wes) Grant of Green Cove Springs, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 6-9 pm
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Sherwood Nance officiating. Eulogy given by David Lott. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
