Diane J. Lamarche-Leader, 53, of Rutland died Friday, December 6th at home. She leaves her former husband of 20 years, Craig Leader; their children, Marilyn Sophie Leader and Joseph Neil Leader all of Sterling; her mother, Joan M. (Carroll) Lamarche of Worcester; two brothers, Thomas J. Lamarche of Townsend and Robert J. and his wife, Jackie D. (Sparhawk) Lamarche of Worcester, a sister, Jo-Ann and her husband, William G. Brady, Jr. of Marlboro; six nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Aurora “Rory” Leader; her father, Ernest F. Lamarche, Sr., and a brother, Ernest F. Lamarche
She was born in Worcester. Diane was a member of Psi Chi Honor Society, Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, Worcester State College Alumni Association, the Rutland Historical Society and a longtime member of St. John’s Church in Worcester. She was a nurse for many years at various facilities including, St. Mark’s School, Seven Hills Foundation, Becker College, Devereux School and AdCare Hospital. Diane most recently worked for Leader Basement Systems.
Her funeral is Saturday, December 14th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. John’s Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Friday, December 13th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
