LEAHY, Lawrence R., 78, of Marshfield, on December 9th, peacefully at home with his family at his side. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Helen (Coady). Larry had a long career with New England Telephone Company. He also had a lengthy retirement and enjoyed his condo in Boca Raton, FL, golfing, and spending time with his large family and many friends. The son of the late Albert Michael and Geneve (Crosby), he grew up on Partridge Ave. in Somerville. He is also survived by six devoted children, Noelle Russell (Edward) of Hingham, Mary (Manley Kiley) of Duxbury, Lawrence, jr. (Brooke) of Norwell and Edgartown, Christopher (Dedra) of Allen, Texas, Patrick (Tracey) of Scituate, and Brendan (Cheryl) of Marshfield. Dearest "Papa" to Erin, Annabel, Michael, Spencer, Colin, Darcy, Christian, Georgia, Elliette, and Paige. Great-grandfather of Ryder. Cherished brother of John of Stoughton, Eugene of Falmouth, Daniel of Sudbury, Sr. Elizabeth Ann, LSP of Philadelphia, PA, Martha of Pawtucket, RI, David of Stoneham and the late A. Michael and Loretta. Dear brother-in-law of Maryann Chisholm of Scituate and Joseph Coady of Wellesley.
