THOMAS, Elfreda B. “Pearl” of North Hill, Needham formerly of Wellesley, December 8, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Stanley R. Thomas. Devoted mother of Stanley R. Thomas III and his wife Rosalie of Sparta, WI, David J. Thomas and his wife Marty of Napa, CA, and Mary T. Hall and her husband David of Mont Vernon, NH. Grandmother of Pete, Wendy, Amy, Michael, Sarah, and Emily. Step-grandmother of Heather, David, and Carl Hall. Also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Elfreda was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and had an advanced degree from the University of Illinois. She was an active volunteer in many civic organizations most recently with her work at the Newton Wellesley Hospital gift shop. She will be missed by her many friends at North Hill in Needham where she lived for the last 13 years. Her many grandchildren and great grandchildren will very much miss their Gramma Pearl.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Burtt Chapel at the Wellesley Village Congregational Church, 2 Central St., Wellesley, Saturday, December 14 at 2 pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elfreda’s memory to Doctors Without Borders.
