FRAMINGHAM: Jean M. (Bourette) Armstrong, age 80, died peacefully surrounded by her devoted family on Saturday evening, December 7, 2013, at Medway Country Manor after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. Armstrong.
Born, raised and educated in Natick, she was a daughter of the late Harlin D. and Florence (Glynn) Bourette. Jean and Charles married in 1951 and within a few years settled in Framingham where they raised their children. Though she was often ill and faced many limitations during her life, Jean’s great love for her family was never in doubt. She had a particularly wonderful bond with her grandchildren, and their affection for her sustained her until the moment of her death.
Predeceased by her son Donald in 1984, daughter Donna in 1988, and her great-granddaughter Yasmin in 2012, Jean is survived by a son, Bob Armstrong of Medway; four daughters, Sheila Smith of FL, and Florence Mayhew, Sharon Armstrong Garcia, and Cheryl Armstrong, all of Framingham; 19 grandchildren and
10 great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Harlin D. Bourette, Jr.
Relatives and friends may visit with Jean’s family at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Thursday, Dec. 12th 4 – 7p.m. There will be a prayer service offered near the end of the gathering. Burial will be private at a later date.
