Obituary

Jaime E. Taylor-Harper, 37, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at her parent’s home in Derry following a courageous struggle with a brain tumor. She was born on June 18, 1976 in Boston, MA, a daughter of Benjamin F. and Joanna (Williams) Taylor. Jaime was a resident of Derry for most of her life. She graduated from Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, FL with a bachelor’s degree. She also went to school for massage therapy and worked as a Massage Therapist for Serendipity Day Spa in Concord. Jaime had a zest for life and was a multifaceted woman with many interests. She enjoyed photography, traveling the world and gourmet cooking using organic and natural ingredients. Jaime was extremely creative and artistic. Jaime wrote a children’s book that her father Benjamin illustrated. But her passion was music. She has recorded two albums, the most recent being “Old Soul, New Generation”. She was also in a band, Jaime Taylor and the Element and taught music lessons.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her husband, Mark Harper, three step children she loved as her own, Jamie, Michael, and Daniel Harper, one sister, Carolyn V. Pierce, two brothers, Benjamin S. Taylor and Timothy N. Taylor, one nephew, David Taylor, maternal grandfather, Carl B. Williams and his wife Rollande, aunts, Gretchen Freeman and Lauren Williams, uncle, Larry Baptiste, mother-in-law, Linda Jackson and her husband Rich, as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 4 – 8pm at Pentucket Baptist Church, 8 East Road, Atkinson, NH. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 13th at 11:00am in the Pentucket Baptist Church with cremation to follow. Memorial contributions may be made in Jaime’s memory to the National Brain Tumor Society at www.defeatGBM.org or www.braintumor.org.
