Hubert Ray Fletcher, 77, passed away Saturday evening, December 7, 2013 at his Yulee, FL residence while surrounded by his family.
He was born October 30, 1936 in Poca, WV and moved to Yulee in 1979 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Mr. Fletcher was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and driving semi trucks and he was very mechanically inclined.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vondena Bowles Fletcher of Yulee, FL; three daughters, Kimberly Carter of Yulee, FL, Kelly Fletcher, also of Yulee, and Michelle Bazemore (Marvin) of Warner Robbins, GA; a sister, Ruth Ann Craddock (Jim) of Harman, WV; two grandsons, Zachary Harrison(Kayla) and Hunter Harrison; two great grandsons, Noah and Eli Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Lamar officiating. Interment will follow in the family burial estate in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday.
