Obituary

Eleanor Kleszyk, Olyphant, died Wednesday at Moses Taylor Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Joseph. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on May 28.

Born in Olyphant, daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Sembrot Hynak, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School as salutatorian of the 1943 class and attended Keystone College. She was employed at Kaplan Furniture and worked 42 years in the bookkeeping department of Columbia Distributing Co. She was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Olyphant. She enjoyed working on her family tree and was an avid stamp collector. She enjoyed taking pictures.

Surviving are a sister, Marian Anderson, Manville, N.J.; sister-in-law, Ethel Hynak, Jessup; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and a great-great-great-nephew; cousins and several godchildren.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, William, Joseph, John, Michael and Stephen Hynak; two sisters, Elizabeth Hynak and Madeline O'Kon; and two infant sisters, Anna and Eleanor.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, River Street, Olyphant. Interment, SS. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Peckville.
