Norville "Leigh" Nall, 76, died October 2nd at the Westerly Health Center.
Born on Feb 2, 1928 in Sherman FL, he was the son of the late N.L.Nall and Elva Nall.He was the husband of the late Jean M. (Mulvey) Nall who died in 2000.
He retired from a distinguished career with the US Navy in 1966, serving in World War II aboard the U.S.S. Moore DE 240. He also served aboard various Submarines including the U.S.S. SeaCat, Tigrone, rb,Albacore,Cavalla,Diablo. Retired from the U.S.S Tulibee as a Chief Radioman.
After his retirement , Mr. Nall and his wife owned and operated Jean's Ceramics in Pawcatuck.
Mr. Nall is survived by his son and a daughter-in-law Thomas A. Nall and Bobbette Nall of Westerly RI; 2 grandchildren Amanda Nall of Westerly, Thomas C Nall of Savannah GE; his siblings, John Nall of Tallahasse FL, Joanne McCarthy of Cantoment FL, Elizbeth St. James of Jacksonville FL, Donald Ray Nall of San Antonio TX, and Corey Farley of Rocky River OH. He was predeceased by Allen Nall.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Tuesday from 6-8pm. His funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 10am at the funeral home. Burial is private.
