METHUEN – Sr. Mary Ann Lagassie, 84 of Methuen passed away Monday December 2, 2013 at Holy Family Hospital.
Born in Caribou, Maine she was the daughter of Patrick and Jeannette (Gauvin) Lagassie. Sr. Mary Ann entered the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary on July 25, 1947 in Hudson, NH and pronounced her vows on February 2, 1950 taking the religious name Sr. Jean-de-Notre Dame.
Sr. served in Maine and Massachusetts as a Nursery School thru 4th grade teacher and was also a religious education teacher and also Montessori Method for nurseries and kindergarten.
She is survived by her sister Sr. Lucille Lagassie and brothers Donald and John Lagassie.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary 209 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 2:00p.m. in the Presentation of Mary Chapel will burial in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
