Worcester- William J. Travis, 65, of Worcester, died Friday, October 1, 2004.
He leaves his wife of 24 years, Sharon (Craig) Travis; his mother Ann (Bidosky) Travis; two brothers, Tom and John; three daughters, Wendi, Cheri, and Michelle; a son, Jean Pierre; six grandchildren. He was born March 28, 1939 in Newburgh, NY, son of the late Irving Travis.Mr. Travis graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1961.
He was employed by several electronic companies as International Marketing Manager where he utilized his multi-lingual abilities. He later worked as a Senior Editor for EDN Magazine until his retirement in 2001.
Bill was an avid pool player and published many articles with various pool magazines.
He served as President of the LWVO Associates for two terms.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday October 8, in the Italian American Victory Club, 26 Dewey Road, Shrewsbury. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, is assisting the family with arrangements.
