Obituary

Alfonse DiPetrillo, Jr., 87, of Oakhurst Drive, Greenville, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Joann M. (Sherman) DiPetrillo. They had been married for 59 years.
Born in Providence, he was one of nine children born to Alfonse and Angelina (DiPaolo) DiPetrillo. He has lived in Greenville for the past 53 years.

Mr. DiPetrillo retired from the former First National Supermarket as a manager after 40 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and Korea. He was the Chairman of the Smithfield House Authority, the vice-president of Gemini and vice-president of the Church Street Estate Corp.; the Director of Greenville Goldenaires and a former coach of the Smithfield Little League.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Mark DiPetrillo and his fiancée, Laurie, Alan DiPetrillo and his wife, Donna, Paul DiPetrillo and his wife, Christine and Lori Simoneau and her husband, David all of Foster, his grandchildren, Miranda, Anthony, Britney, Brett, Samantha and Christopher DiPetrillo; Shannon, David III and Devon Simoneau and a brother, Angelo DiPetrillo. He was the brother of the late Bonnie, Thomas, Frank, Alfred and Mino DiPetrillo, Rose Zaretsky and Sue Paolozzi.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday 4-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. His funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Greenville Rescue Dept., 607 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828.
