Patricia C. (O'Brien) Whitlock, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief battle with cancer. She was 75 years old.
Patricia was born in Boston on June 30, 1938, a daughter of the late James O'Brien and Mary (Knight) O'Brien. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1957. Patricia worked as a Group Manager for New England Telephone Company for over 25 years. She enjoyed playing bridge, solving puzzles, camping and most of all she cherished the special times she was able to attend all of her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a member of the Sands Club and the Carlton Lakes Association in Naples, Florida.
Patricia is the adored and loving wife of 53 years to Francis J. "Bo" Whitlock. She is the devoted mother of James Whitlock of Charlestown, Joseph Whitlock of North Andover, Patricia A. Williams and her husband Timothy of North Andover and John C. Whitlock and his wife Christine of North Andover. She is the loving Nana to Kyle Richard United States Navy, Amanda Catherine, Nolan John, Morgan Christine and Sara Olivia. She is the beloved sister of Marion Connolly and her husband James, Beverly Rogers and her husband Paul, Daniel O'Brien and his wife Kathleen, Edward O'Brien and the late James O'Brien. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Patricia's Funeral on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
