Obituary

William W. Wilson, III of Natick died on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center of Natick. He was 78 years old.

Born in Fairmont, West Virginia, the son of the late William W., Jr. & Mary C. (Rogan) Wilson, he grew up in Everett and Sudbury, Massachusetts and served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War.

He was a graduate of Northeastern University, class of 1965, worked as a manager of engineering for the Polaroid Corporation for twenty-seven years and then as an independent consultant for eighteen years.

He was a proud resident of Natick for forty-five years and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend. Bill’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family.

He also enjoyed playing and watching sports (both professional and his grandkids games) and spending time at the Villages in Florida with his late wife Florence. He was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Church of Natick and St. Vincent De Paul.

Mr. Wilson was the devoted husband of 57 years to the late Florence M. (Sceles) Wilson, loving father of Stephen W. Wilson & his wife Cristina, Kathleen M. Wenckus & her husband Daniel, Wendy A. Wilson, all of Natick, Debra J. Hebert & her husband Steven of Millbury, Diane M. Tobin & her husband John of Southborough & Christine Smaldone & her husband Bill of Westborough. Cherished grandfather of 9 & great grandfather of one. Caring brother of the late Terrance J. Wilson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. at Natick Common on Thursday, December 5th at 9:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St. Natick at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00-7:00PM. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be made to St. Vincent De Paul c/o St. Patrick’s Church 44 E. Central St., Natick, MA 01760.
