JUANITA M. LIVESAY, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior at her home in Louisville, KY. on November 28, 2013.
Juanita was born in Hart County, KY. on July 4, 1928 to Maggie and Harold Highbaugh. In 1945 she married Eugene Livesay and was happily married for 51 years.
Juanita was a member of Ormsby Heights Baptist Church where she was very active for over 30 years. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Eugene; and son Gary Eugene.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Donald) Young; daughter-in-law, Sue Livesay; grandchildren, Brandy Hicks (Joe), Matthew Young (Diane) and Corey Young; great grandchildren, Henry Young and Paul Hicks; sisters, Phyllis Snow, Ditha Forrest and Janet Carman; brother, Norman Highbaugh; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Juanita’s funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 12 – 8 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to Hosparus.
