Marjorie E. Richmond, 98

Marjorie E. (Woodward) Richmond , age 98, of Norton passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Daggett-Crandall Newcomb Home in Norton.
She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur M. “Mac” Richmond to whom she was wed for 66 years at the time of his death on March 8, 2010.
Born in Taunton, MA on September 22, 1915, she was a loving daughter of the late Leroy and Ruth (Robertson) Woodward. She grew up in Taunton and was educated in Taunton public schools.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Richmond had worked for many years as an employee at the Norton Town Hall. She had also previously worked for the late Attorney Lewis Rubin in Norton.
A Norton resident for the past 69 years, Marjorie was a member of the Norton Historical Society and a former member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Norton.
When not spending time with her devoted family, Marjorie enjoyed knitting, crocheting and engaging in activities around her home.
She is survived by her brother in law Gordon Richmond and his wife Virginia of Norton and her sister in law Elizabeth Paille of Norton. She was the dear sister of the late Rev. Donald Woodward and Jean Haslehurst. She is also survived by her adoring nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at the Daggett-Crandall Newcomb Home in Norton. Burial will also take place privately in the Norton Center Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours have been omitted and those wishing may remember Marjorie with a donation in her memory made to the Daggett-Crandall Newcomb Home, 55 Newland St., Norton, MA 02766.
