FRANK JOHN “MIKE” REED, JR., 85, passed away on November 27, 2013.
He was born in Louisville, KY. to Frank John, Sr. and Mayme (Nuneman) Reed.
Frank was a retired machinist for Klein Machine Company, a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, and a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothy Marlene Reed and his parents.
Survivors include his children, Mark J. Reed, Janet (Reed) Zeller (William “Butch”) and Lauri A. (Reed) Whitenack (Wylie, Jr.); six grandchildren, Tyler Reed, Cody, Jillian and Olivia Leis, Cody Whitenack and Chris Zeller; one great grandson, Hunter; and his brother, Edward Reed.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter and Apostle, 5431 Johnsontown Road. Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
Visitation will be 2 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
