Loretta J. (Jette) Jerz, 93, of 15 Howe Village, died Wednesday, September 29 at Wingate at Wilbraham Nursing Home. She was the wife of Dr. Edward T. Jerz who died in 1974. She leaves a son, Edward T. husband of Mary M. Jerz of Ludlow, a brother George Jette of W.Brookfield, a grandson Michael Jerz of Methuen, two grandaughters Kathleen Jerz of Lexington, Susan Jurewicz of Bedford, two great grandsons Christopher Jerz of Methuen and David Jurewicz of Bedford, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sisters,Celina Cournoyer and Blanche Morin.Mrs. Jerz was a school teacher at the former St. Mary's School in Spencer and No.Brookfield High School before retiring many years ago. She graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer and Bay Path College in Springfield. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and its St. Anne's Sodality. At onetime she was a volunteer for TriValley Meals at Howe Village for 10 years.Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of John B. and Elmira (LaPrade) Jerz.The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 4, from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 60 Maple St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer.
