Joseph M. Giannini, 63, of Uncasville, died suddenly at his home on November 25, 2013.
Joe was born on January 6, 1950, in Bristol, CT, to Joseph M. Giannini Sr. and Ann (Marotto) Giannini. He attended New Britain schools and served honorably in the armed forces. He was employed at Electric Boat for 39 years as a welder.
Joe was a very happy-go-lucky guy. He had the greatest love for animals, and he was a passionate collector of antiques, restoring many automobiles and motorcycles throughout the years. Joe was also an accomplished musician.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Rita Barber; a daughter Dawn Marie Signorino of Citrus Springs FL; his twin sister Marie Todaro and sister Cynthia Infante with husband Elliott, all of Cromwell, CT. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Saturday, November 30, at 1:30pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. Burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the Humane Society.
