Mr. Joseph F. Ohler, of East Taunton, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 26 in Morton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Robin G. (Godlewski) Ohler. He was born 61 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late William and Ruth (Westgate) Ohler. A lifelong city resident, he was educated in Taunton, having graduated from the former Taunton Vocational High School, where he was Valedictorian of his graduating class. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a metal fabricator for Cumberland Welding in East Taunton for over 10 years. Joseph was previously employed at the former Taunton Engineering Company for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, woodcarving and painting.
He leaves: 1 son: Shawn Ohler and his wife Kristy of Taunton; 1 daughter: Joey-Lynne Clark and her husband James of East Taunton; 3 brothers: Larry Allen and his wife, Kathy of North Dighton, William Ohler and his wife, Claudia of Taunton, and Robert Ohler of Taunton; 1 sister: Amanda Souza of Taunton; 4 grandchildren: Madison Clark, Branden Ohler, Hannah-Marie Ohler and Tori Clark, and several nieces and nephews.
A Visiting Hour will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, November 29, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. A Funeral Service will follow the Visiting Hour at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
