Beloved husband of the late M. Evelyn (Russell) Vena. Father of Elizabeth Zschau of Marlboro, Roberta Davis of Weymouth, Richard L. Vena of Braintree, James A. Vena of Plymouth, Margaret Kearney of Whitman, Edward F. Vena of Duxbury & Boston and Lynn Vena of Dedham. Brother of Ralph Vena of Cotuit and the late Rose Conlon, Evelyn M. & Anthony R. Vena. Mr. Vena is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Saturday at 9:30am.
Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church , 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, Saturday at 11AM.
Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM.
Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
Richard was born in Boston and grew up in Medford. He spent his adult life in North Quincy. He graduated from Northeastern University class of 1931. He worked for the Star Market Companies as the Meat Buyer for the headquaters located in Cambridge for 25 years retiring back in 1975. He moved to Duxbury in 1996 . He was an avid Red Sox Fan.
