Forrest Lee Henderson, age 77, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Henderson was born on April 7, 1936, in Harrold, TX to the late Ed Henderson and Lorraine Martin Sullivan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard during Vietnam and Persian Gulf. Mr. Henderson retired from the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Henderson retired from South Georgia College and Coffee County Sheriff Office. He was a member of Coffee Regional Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion and White Hats Gentlemen’s Club.
Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn Henderson of Douglas, GA, son, Tony (Kalane) Henderson of Douglas, GA, daughter, Teresa (David) Pridgen of Pridgen, GA, two sisters, Linda Gameson of Graham, TX and Betty Joyce Hippard of Big Springs, TX, two brothers, Tommy Coskey and Danny Coskey both of Electra, TX, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Martin Sullivan, sister, Waynelle Reynolds, and two brothers, Mike Coskey and Pat Coskey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Shep Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
