CARLOS M. HERNANDEZ, a Hull resident for 33 years, passed away at his home after a long illness on Saturday, Nov. 23rd, 2013. He was 65. He was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He served in the U.S. Navy as a gunner during the Vietnam War. He was also an avid boxer during his years in the service and loved gardening and yard work. Over the years Mr. Hernandez worked as a landscaper for a number of landscaping companies in the area.
He was the husband of Nydia E. (Garcia) Hernandez of Hull and father of Carlos, Jr. and his wife Christy of North Carolina, Antonio and his wife Mikhaela of Hull and Jesus and his wife Karen of Easton. Also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Funeral Wednesday, Nov. 27th from the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham at 9 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, corner of Lewis St. and Samoset Ave., Hull at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Downing Chapel on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment with military honors in Hull Village Cemetery.
