Richard K. Arnold, age 23, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, November 23, 2013.
Born in Taunton, MA on June 27, 1990, he was a loving son of Keith E. and Linda D. (Greenwald) Arnold of Norton.
Richie grew up in Norton and was a 2008 graduate of Norton High School. He furthered his education by attending the New England Institute of Technology where he majored in computer programming.
Most recently he had worked as a cashier at the CVS Pharmacy in Mansfield and had formerly been employed at the Coldstone Creamery in Mansfield.
Along with his family, Richie had attended the Grace Baptist Church in Attleboro where he had also spent his freshman, sophomore and junior years of high school.
His hobbies included snowboarding and skateboarding, and when younger had studied martial arts. He enjoyed quiet times spent at home which included being on his computer and especially just hanging out with his Golden Retrievers, “April” and “Rusty” whom he loved so much.
Richard was a remarkably intelligent young man who will always be remembered for his expert reasoning skills and his natural honesty.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his devoted brother, Brian K. Arnold of Norton. He was the cherished grandson of Winnie Arnold of Middleboro, Dorothy Mazzilli of Kingston and the late Eugene Arnold and Mario Mazzilli. He is also survived by several dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, November 30th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 29th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
