Obituary

WEBSTER – Mildred (Fopeano) Jensen, 88, a resident of Webster and North Fort Myers, FL, died peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2013 in Webster Manor. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Carl J. Jensen who died in 1991 and by her son, Kenneth J. Jensen who died in 2011.
She leaves 4 children, Karen A. Jensen of North Fort Myers, FL, Lorraine J. Boles and her husband Richard J. Boles of East Falmouth and their children Drew J. Boles and Gregory J. Boles, Marianne McLean and her husband John of North Smithfield, RI and their children James McLean and Madeline McLean, and James Jensen and his wife Maureen of Canterbury, CT and their daughter Nevada Jensen and Kenneth’s children, Brian Jensen and Katherine Jensen; 2 nieces, 2 nephews and cousins.
She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Francis and Marion (Healy) Fopeano. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Commercial High School in New York City in 1943. She lived in Franklin Square on Long Island, NY for 30 years before moving to North Fort Myers, FL in 1981. She spent her summers on Webster Lake.
Mrs. Jensen worked part-time as a telephone operator. Her main occupation was being a homemaker.
She was a member of Saint Therese Roman Catholic Church in Fort Myers and also attended Mass at Saint Louis Church here in the summer. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards and dancing.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, in Saint John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville, RI. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org). Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
